Description

THIS IS A PRE-ORDER

Expected to start shippings during October first week.

The Hope — Kira
is an ultrasmooth uncoated, glass mousepad built for one thing: giving you the exact same surface in round one and in round twenty-four. Balance smooth glide, clean stopping power, and a friction profile that does not change from the centre of the pad to its edges.

It is a surface designed specifically for FPS and TacFPS, games where the fight is decided by whether your crosshair stops where you told it to, not by how fast you can cross the pad.

Consistency across the entire surface

The failure mode of most gaming surfaces is not that they are bad, it is that they are uneven. Cloth breaks in faster where your hand rests. Coated glass wears along the path you use most, and turns into a fast track running diagonally across the pad. Either way, the same physical input produces a different result depending on where on the pad you happen to be.

Kira is uncoated: the texture is etched into the glass itself, not applied on top of it. There is no layer to wear through and no weave to flatten. The micro-etch is held to the same density edge to edge, so a flick started at the far left behaves like a flick started dead centre. That repeatability is the entire point of the pad.

A note on the AS-NOVA lineage

Kira is a refined version of the AS-NOVA surface. AS-NOVA was our first glasspad and it taught us a lot.

Balance smooth, explained

Balance smooth sits where most competitive players actually want to be. Dynamic friction stays low, so wide swings cost you almost nothing in effort. Static friction stays high enough that the mouse parks cleanly instead of creeping through a micro-adjustment. It is not a speed pad and it is not a control brick, it is the surface you run when you want the pad to disappear.

Specifications

Material Tempered glass
Surface Micro-etched, uncoated
Type Balance smooth
Size 500 × 450 × 3.3 mm
Thickness Glass 2.5 mm / base 0.8 mm
Edge 2.5D CNC bevelled edge
Base FLUXAIM custom silicone base

The 2.5D CNC bevelled edge is machined rather than ground, so there is no lip and no sharp transition where your forearm rests. The custom silicone base anchors the pad flat on a smooth desk and damps the high-frequency vibration a rigid surface would otherwise transmit.

What's in the box

  • Kira — The Hope glasspad, 500 × 450 mm
  • FLUXHQ Ctrl Dots — control-profile UHMWPE dots
  • FLUXHQ Blueberry Dots — second skate set, speed balance silent dots.
  • FLUXAIM microfibre cloth
  • Premium packaging, built to protect the corners in transit

Two sets of dots ship in the box on purpose. Skate profile changes the feel of a glass surface more than most people expect, and rather than pick for you, we would rather you try both and keep the one that matches your grip. The microfibre cloth is not a throw-in either — a glasspad only performs when it is clean, and it is the correct tool for the job.

Care

Wipe the surface and the skates with the included microfibre cloth before each session. For a deep clean, use isopropyl alcohol on the cloth, never sprayed directly on the pad. Full routine in our guide on how to clean a glass mousepad.

Carry it flat with two hands and store it flat. Tempered glass is extremely tough in-plane and vulnerable at the corners.

Is Kira for you?

Yes, if you play FPS or TacFPS seriously, practise deliberately, run long sessions, or your aim visibly degrades once you start to sweat. Glass removes humidity from the equation entirely.

Maybe not, if you play at very high sensitivity and want the heaviest possible stop, need a silent surface, or travel with your pad. In that case look at our cloth mousepads instead. We break the decision down honestly in glass mousepad vs cloth mousepad, and explain the category in what is a glasspad.
